‘SC12
Twloha Summer Conference 2012. We’ve completed MOVE. I’m a gatekeeper through QPR. What have I learned? Everything. Yes, I know some of these topics personally. I’ve battled and struggled, and continue to battle and struggle everyday with these issues. But there is so much more to know. So many more people’s perspectives to understands. And most importantly, there are so many statistics and stigmas to change. We will be the hopeful. I first immersed myself in TWLOHA to find comfort and rescue for myself, but now, now it’s about maintaining my balance and being able to share with others the comfort and hope of recovery. That’s my mission, when I return to my amazing U-Chapter in Mt. Pleasant. We’re going to make changes on campus of mental health stigmas, and people are going to know we exist, and we care. And I am so excited.
Socially…. Uh. The weather is super rainy currently and we have the whole night to ourselves… with nothing to do. It’s just Jessie and I since our roommates won’t be arriving til sometime tonight (who knows when!) and with the rain we can’t really walk anywhere… so if anyone from SC12 is reading this… room 411 for a good time ;) But seriously. It’s gonna be a long night, and I’d love to get to know some new people and have a new conversation.
